Las Vegas to San Francisco

on

We slept in this morning but still woke up in time for hubby and me to walk around the hotel area a bit morning coffee in hand. The kids decided to sleep in. But then it was time once again to catch a flight, this time from Las Vegas to San Francisco. We had decided against the drive through the Death Valley because of the heat and also we were on a tight schedule. At the same time we had decided to skip Yosemite Park- which turned out to be a good idea because Yosemite was partly closed due to the fires that had hit California very badly this summer.

Flying from Las Vegas to San Francisco

After returning the rental car at the airport we grabbed a quick bite to eat. Then we boarded our United Airlines flight back to California. It was a very pleasant flight with clear skies.

In San Francisco we called an Uber to take us to the “Executive Hotel Vintage Court” conveniently located between the Financial District and Union Square. The hotel is a very charming boutique hotel.

With a little time on our hands we took another Uber to the Golden Gate Bridge. However, it was very foggy and freezing cold. So we did not stay long. We were just not accustomed to this kind of weather anymore.

Our younger daughter had meanwhile acquired a  sore throat and was left with no voice. All through dinner she would write her comments on her mobile for us to read. It was a very quiet at the dinner table!
