We got an early start in the morning and went directly to Chihuly Garden and Glass in order to beat the crowd. Our strategy worked well and we walked through the exhibition almost by ourselves.

This art gallery is not to be missed. Beautiful glass sculptures illuminate the space with an array of colors and textures. Check for combination tickets together with the Space Needle for savings. This way you also get to see Seattle from above.

Initially we had planned to take Ubers for our trips through Seattle but in the end we walked everywhere. This way we got a lot of steps in and really got a feel for the city. Plus we found nice places to go for coffee (avoiding the ever present Starbucks).

One museum that we only saw from the outside was the Mopop museum, the museum of pop culture. The building has an elegant shape. Only when I took this picture did I see the face in its shape though.

The Amazon spheres were a disappointment. Maybe because you can only see the inside on the first and third Saturday of the month. So we did not get to go inside. The business center atmosphere was a turn off after the metropolitan feel of the city center.

We kept walking around town, paid a short visit to the Seattle Public Library, then we had a picnic with cherries in the park, relaxed and waited for our slot at the Space Needle. We chose for a time in the evening so we would see Seattle at daylight, watch the sun set and than see the city lights. A wonderful finale for a great trip!
