Vancouver Island

Earls Cove

Early in the morning we were headed for Earls Cove to catch the ferry to Saltery Bay then drove to Powell River and got onto the second ferry to Comox on Vancouver Island- our last stop before going back home via Vancouver.

Passage to Saltery Bay

The passage was very smooth and enjoyable as the weather slowly started to get warmer and the world around us woke up.

We enjoyed breakfast at a nice small café in Powell River before driving onto the second ferry.

Powell River

Upon our arrival on Vancouver Island we drove South again from Comox to Nanoose. The following day we spent on the coast right across from our last stay on the Sunshine Coast.

Before checking into our AirBnB, however, we stopped at the „Old Country Market“ in Coombs. This quaint little indoor market sells everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to international deli and souvenirs. It‘s most prominent feature, however, is the grass roof with goats living on it.

Our AirBnB for the next three nights proved to be an excellent choice. Located right by the ocean it was in a quiet spot in a lovely neighborhood- and with charming visitors right at our doorstep.
